Bridgepoint Pharmacy has become something of an institution to the shoppers of Mosman, particularly those who frequent the Bridgepoint Shopping Centre. This friendly, family run business has successfully traded for 18 years at the entrance to the centre. It has, over this time, been a pharmacy that will give attention to your health needs and has gained a reputation for advice, care and service.
This long history is supported by the fact that it is still owned and managed by Majella and Neil McLoughlin since those early days many years ago. So it was with some surprise that many of us have seen a change in location within Bridgepoint for the pharmacy. What isn’t surprising is that since Christmas last year (after an amazing overnight relocation!) the pharmacy continues to thrive as its loyal customers ride the escalator to the first floor to its vibrant modern new premises.
The reasons for the move were many, with the major one being that the old pharmacy was in need of a major refit from its original layout. With this being the case, a “win-win” was created. Along with the brand new pharmacy, the centre has enjoyed an revamped Harris Farm fruit market, which has expanded into the old site. This has proved to be a winner for the shoppers at Bridgepoint as both stores have taken the opportunity to improve their service offerings to the Mosman community.
In addition to this, Neil and Majella have seen the increasing need for home medication management for many of their customers. The new store facilitates an expanded home medication dosette capacity, prescription management and health information provision. Amongst the team of staff, six are pharmacists. This means there is always a pharmacist available for advice and efficient service. The ever friendly and popular Andy, along with long time local Pharmacist Katrina in particular, remain on team at Bridgepoint Pharmacy. This desire to give advice and have professional staff on hand also has the pharmacy employing a graduate pharmacist and a third year undergraduate student.
The pharmacy continues to offer its range of cosmetics and skincare with brands such as L’Oreal, Innoxa, Jurlique and Maybelline. Skincare is paramount in the store, particularly with the added services of the dermatologists in the centre with Ego, Cetaphil and Aveeno amongst the large range of skincare products. Vitamins and nutrition are also well serviced with the entire Blackmores range and Ethical Nutrients amongst many of your favourite brands. One other old favourite of those with a sweet tooth is not to be forgotten … yes, Darrell Lea chocolates are still in store too! So it seems that after a generation spent on the ground floor, Neil and Majella will continue to look after us in the new store, welcome you to the NEW Bridgepoint Pharmacy.
