From the moment Sherwood’s fashion relocated from Neutral Bay (where the new Woolworths store is now) to set up shop in Bridgepoint Shopping Centre, the owner, Edwina Eisenhauer knew it was going to be a great move. Edwina says, “Although it hasn't always been easy the shoppers of Mosman have embraced her store and eye for fashions over the years”. Edwina carries an extensive range of Australian made garments that compete in all ways with imports for quality and price with new products and materials not made here such as the exciting range of alpaca garments. The wool of the alpaca is extremely hard wearing, its thermal qualities are excellent (reportedly 3 times warmer than wool) as well as being lightweight. The best of these products currently come from Peru.

Edwina also has a range of products manufactured to her own label in specialty cotton fabrics such as liberty. Edwina modestly says, “it all adds up to a range not normally found in the average shop or department store". A visit to Sherwood is always a pleasure with the helpful assistance of the experienced staff all of whom Edwina is justifiably proud. Sherwood also has a branch store in Manly on the Corso which caters for resort and swimwear.

Sherwood’s reputation for quality womens fashions seems to be growing and attracting customers from all over Australia as well as the rest of the world. Customers come from as far and wide as the Northern Territory, Darwin, South Australia and Texas – yes, you heard right – the home of the ten gallon hat!
